The Way of The Bob

Last night and slightly into the early hours of this morning I was back in Ftumch Towers with Rob.

Apart from a from a fun catch up following a 10 month Covid-induced hiatus, Rob showed me his newly comfy, tidy and technically upgraded studio. I wasn’t expecting anything more but he played me a new composition and we came up with melody lines for it and co-wrote some lyrics. It looks like we’ve got nearly a whole album’s worth of material now.

We’re back!

Beautiful Years, out NOW!

Last month, myself and Ftumch!! colleague Rob found ourselves wandering the great outdoors with Rob doing plenty of filming.

Well that film, along with our latest single, Beautiful Years is released September 27th, 2019!

From here to Ftumch!!

Rob Collins was first (to me) a photographer who appeared at one of the Words and Music Fest events, I then got to know him as a festival organiser, a Ukulele tutee and a friend. He has been involved in music for a long time, not least as the bassist in the awesome award-winning punk band Imbalance.
Somehow, Ukulele lessons evolved into getting involved in this exciting new music project with Rob as a co-writer. Rob is a prolific creator/producer of tracks, tending to release about a track a week.
I think it's fair to say, that what we have started doing with Ftumch!! is some kind of music that neither of us would come up with individually, which it makes all the more exciting to be involved with.

Tuesday's video shoot, with help from Ang (and watched by pusscats)..

*Video Shoot* Me & Rob of @ftumchofficial were shot tonight for a premier video by the man himself @wayofthebob and #Ang. Apparently we sound like what #TheSmiths would've sounded like if they came from now. Rob's now got the massive job of editing it all. I will blog about this as soon as I can get around to it, the link will be in.... FTUMCH!!

Well here's a thing, lately I've been helping out with some playing, singing and songwriting in a joint project with my very talented bassist/production/composer friend Rob.
More on this as time goes on me thinks.
Stay tuned!
