A Bonnie Time on The Radio

Studio swamped with the trappings of partydom
23/06/2017
(Updated 27/06/17 to include listen again feature).

Last night I was delighted to be asked to guest on a special Redshift Radio show celebrating the birthday of the brilliant veteran broadcaster Paul Boniface.

As well as having a perfect, velvety radio-voice, he's a lovely and interesting fella.

Catch him when on air when you can!

The great and the good from planet Redhshift were there and when it was my turn;..

I played Watch Out! (or I'll stick you in my poem) from Rafflesia Dreams ..

and There She Moves from Attachment Theories

Then Paul and I chatted about everything from long-distance walks to Paul's champagne breakfasts!

Sofa, so good.

'Little Blue' relaxing.
I was back on the Redshift Sofa, this time for 'Easy Like Sunday Morning' and that great radio-voice belonging to Paul Boniface.
We talked about lots in the short time we had including the differences and similarities we find in 'the written word' and songwriting, plus lots about upcoming gigs including those the Nantwich Food Festival, Words and Music Festival, supporting Pre-Sleep Monologue and my upcoming Autumn shows with The Blue Yellows.

Easy like a Sunday Morning.

This morning I braved the now more November-like weather to pop onto Redshift Radio to chat to presenter Paul Boniface on his regular show, 'Easy Like Sunday Morning'.
This was to chat specifically about Friday's upcoming gig.

The gig will be a fundraiser for The Alzheimer's Society, a cause which not only does vital work, but is increasingly important during this era of an aging population and severe cuts to care funding. My gang, The Blue Yellows and Psychedelic Indie-rocksters Brave New World will be playing, there will also be Indie tunes both before and in between bands from DJ (plus presenter and journalist) Kirsty Rollings

It's this Friday, November 13th at Willaston Club, Near Nantwich (7 Wistaston Rd, Nantwich CW5 6PU).
Doors are at 6.30pm, Live Music from 7.30pm
Tickets £5 adults, children Free!
You can text Derek on 07852300101 to reserve tickets (in case of the show selling out) or pay on the door.

Listen again to the radio show here (I'm on from about 1hr 33mins in).

Easy Like Sunday Morning.

Sunday, April 5th.

On Easter Sunday, I appeared on Paul Boniface's 'Easy Like Sunday Morning' show on RedShift Radio
Paul was great company and we chatted about all things music, including some of my musical heroes and influences as well as some of my musician friends doing the rounds at Easter . weekend gigs. We talked about my tour dates as well of course, and I played acoustic versions of Galleries, Big Low Copper Moon, There She Moves and Beachcombing live in the studio.

Lovely acoustics for my early-morning
warm-up in the radio-station rest-room/kitchen.
