Things are happening

I feel very good about a musical project coming up - Great things are afoot - as Slartibartfarst once said....

My Musical Claims to Fame.

I'm sadly hoping that one of the following things might impress you (!).

1. If you're into underground/anarchist art and performance poetry this will impress you - I once supported Attila The Stockbroker (and he really liked my stuff and was kind enough to say so during his set).

2. If your a folky type you might be impressed with this - I supported NickHarper to a packed crowd in The Limelight club in Crewe.

3. If you're under 20 I'm hoping you will die with excitiment at this piece of information - Ant and Deck (who had been performing at the Lyceum theatre in Crewe) danced to my band and songs at a gig at The Three Lamps next to the theatre after their show.

Yes I know my hair was long, I know I didn't wear glasses - some of us can play guitar without looking don't you know! OK I didn't see too much but that had its advantages.

By the way - I'm starting this blog to encourage me to re-boot my "career" in music. So if anything happens - it will be here!

A gig in Preston or more likely, Wigan. Before we went on we were all tired and nervous. We all had "pro-Plus" caffine tablets furtively doled out to us - we must have looked like proper rock-druggies or something! (Some of us might have been but I'm nameing no names!)

This was in a marquee outside at the Sandbach Arts Festival when such a thing existed. We must have played for about 40 mins and we played really well and the crowd loved it too (sometimes you get one thing or the other, neither or both!).
